On Saturday 18th June, Choice FM are holding a donation drive in order to find a match for 3 year old Kye.

Kye is in desperate need of a donor and so Choice FM is asking for your help!

Kye has just celebrated his 3rd birthday on 18 May but his smiles hide his desperate fight for life after suffering a relapse of the Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) he was diagnosed with before his 2nd birthday in 2010. He urgently needs a Super Hero.

Choice FM is hosting a special Donation to try and find a superhero for Kye and all others desperately seeking a donor.

There is a critical shortage of Black, Asian and Mixed Race bone marrow, blood and organ donors.

Come down to the Choice FM studios on Saturday 18th June and you could help save a life. We’re recruiting blood and bone marrow donors for the ACLT, all you need to do is provide a saliva sample – it really is that easy!

So if you’re aged between 17 and 49 (18 for bone marrow donors) and weigh over 7 stone (44 kgs) then we need you! For more information about the ACLT check out

When: Saturday, 18th June
Time: 11am – 4pm
Where: Choice FM, 30 Leicester Square, London, WC2H 7LA
Closest Tube: Leicester Square or Piccadilly Circus

They need 10 volunteers to help on the day, 10.30am-4.30pm. You will be supporting on the day and encouraging people to come in and donate.

Another request is to please Tweet and Facebook ‘like’ about this day as much as possible. Save the picture and tag all of your mates. RT Choice FM’s tweets if you can (@ihaveachoice #donate4Kye and @actit) post the event to your profile! Get the word out there!!

Come on!! Do your bit!

This is a really important cause as with the severe donor shortage Kye’s chances are below 1 in 100,000 in finding a donor!!!

If so why not nominate them for a Young Achievers Award?!

Recognising inspirational young people who’ve made a difference through their volunteer efforts, in the arts, community, environment and sport during the past 12 months.

This year’s Young Achievers Awards nominations are now open and it’s a fantastic way to publically recognise and commend the efforts that the extraordinary young people you know go to for their community and peers.

You can now nominate someone or yourself (if you self-nominate you need someone else to verify your activities) and the deadline is 30 September 2010. To request a nomination form please email
