We are looking for three young people to attend a meeting at Croydon Police Station.

You’ll have the opportunity to meet Croydon’s Borough Commander and ask him questions about local policing and the police’s relationship towards young people. You could really make a difference!

The VISIBLE WOMEN CAMPAIGN (VW) is a student led women in leadership campaign that seeks to further raise the aspirations and achievements of women and encourage greater diversity within the workplace.

Law firm Baker & McKenzie have agreed to give exclusive access to a select number of special female students that are passionate about breaking into the legal profession.

The event will be held on 24th March 2011, for 2nd year Law Students and 3rd year Non-Law students. This will be an exclusive opportunity to meet with one of the city’s leading organisations in the field of law!

What’s in it for you?

  • To gain a qualification in music or radio production
  • Practical classes taught by music industry professionals, with an insight into the industry
  • The chance to progress onto one of six work placements at Choice FM
  • Travel and lunch expenses will be paid for

Where’s it at?

  • Courses will be held at Point Blank Music School, in Hoxton, or at Choice FM’s central London offices
  • Music Production will be a weekend course (to run over 4 days in total on BOTH weekends of 26/27th Feb AND 5/6th March). Hours are 11am – 7pm with an hour for lunch and short breaks.
  • Radio Production will be a 1 week course starting 28th Feb and ending on 4th March (5 days in total). Hours are 11–6pm with an hour for lunch and short breaks.
  • There will not be any set homework from the course

Job Title: HITZ Coach

Brief summary: To lead and deliver rugby sessions. To develop young people’s enthusiasm and participation in rugby and direct them into relevant training courses and volunteering opportunities. To ensure activities are correctly targeted at identified priority groups and areas according to need. Training will be given.

Qualifications you could gain as a HITZ Coach:

  • Level 2 (VRQ) Teaching Physical Activity to Children
  • Paediatrics First Aid
  • Tag Rugby course
  • IRB Rugby Ready qualification
  • Safeguarding and protecting young people in rugby
